Boeing’s big “Narrow Body” jet has been experiencing an unexpected Indian Summer since 2006. The production of the larger 757 had barely been discontinued at the end of 2005, when the Seattle-based manufacturer was thinking about equipping it with winglets just like the smaller 737. Continental was the first airline to boost the “tuned” 757. The original of this model registered N67134, bestows the airplane with an 8 percent increase in range plus lower fuel consumption.
