Just a few years ago, Continental Airlines fought to survive, but today, it pockets one award after the other. In 2009, they are going to commission the Boeing 787-8 as one of the first airlines worldwide to do so, which will massively improve the airline’s environmental performance, especially because of the aircraft’s revolutionary construction material. Due to the wings different aerodynamical profile in flight versus on the ground, we’ll also release this “Dreamliner” model both with landing gear as a ground version (item no. 505352) and en route without landing gear but with a stand (item no. 505345) as an airborne version.
