RAF Panavia Tornado GR.4

Entering service back in 1980 with the Tri-National Tornado Training Establishment (TTTE) formed by the United Kingdom, Italy and Germany, the last of these fighter-bombers were retired by the RAF in spring of 2019. Three aircraft from IX and 31 Squadrons performed a three-day farewell tour throughout the United Kingdom in February. No IX Squadron was the first combat unit to receive the “Tonka” in 1982. ZG775 sports a special farewell color scheme on the stabilizer, including the unit’s famous green bat.
