60 years ago, in 1960, SAS Scandinavian Airlines partnered with domestic carrier Thai Airways Company to form Thai Airways International. The new company’s first revenue flight took place on May 1, 1960, transporting a full complement of 60 passenger from Bangkok to Hong Kong, using a Douglas DC-6.
