Fairchild A-10C Thunderbolt II

The 405th Fighter Squadron and its P-47 Thunderbolts was part of the massive Allied efforts to liberate Europe from the Nazi Regime. The unit was reconstituted as the 190th Fighter Squadron at Gowen Field in Idaho in May 1946, and celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2021, sporting a historic color scheme worn by one of its P-47s 75 years earlier.
