Italian Air Force Panavia Tornado ECR

The Tornado ECR (Electronic Combat / Reconnaissance) is a variant devoted to the suppression of enemy air defense systems. The ECR has sensors to detect and target enemy radar and is equipped with AGM-88 HARM air-to-ground missiles. Italy converted 16 Tornado fighter-bombers for this task, all of which are operated by the 155th Electronic Warfare Tactical Suppression Squadron (155° Gruppo ETS) as part of the 6th Wing, the “Red Devils”.
