Luftschiff Zeppelin

The airship "Hindenburg", named after field marshal Paul von Hindenburg, with aircraft registration D-LZ 129 (Luftschiff Zeppelin 129), was a huge passenger airship. With a length of 248 meters the airship was the longest and largest airship ever built. It was designed and built by Zeppelin in Lake Constance, Frederick Harbor. After completion, it was put into service by Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei Company in March 1936, and burned down on May 6, 1937, when trying to land over Lake Naval Air Terminal in Manchester, New Jersey.

The photo shows a pre-production model. The actual model will have the correct text in the correct font.

This set includes two sticker sets, one with crosses as shown on the drawing, and one with Nazi swastikas (see photo) that were on the real airship. As Nazi symbols are forbidden in some countries, we can remove this sticker set on request.
