Eurowings Airbus A320

Since spring 2025, the German soccer team Borussia Dortmund has been traveling to its away games in the new Eurowings "Mannschaftsairbus" ("Team Airbus"). The first version, which celebrated its premiere in 2016 and was also released as a Herpa model, attracted a great deal of attention beyond the soccer scene. The BVB Airbus, completely bathed in black and yellow, was a highlight at airports throughout Europe. In 2022, Eurowings even became the first airline in the world to dedicate an aircraft to soccer fans: Fans were actively involved in the design of the "Fan Airbus" and were able to vote for which moments and personalities from the team's history should be immortalized on the aircraft. A striking feature of the latest livery is the "BVB09" lettering in matt paint, which extends over the entire length of the fuselage. With this new release from Herpa, collectors as well as Dortmund fans can enrich their collection with yet another highlight in black and yellow. Following the diecast metal model on 1/500, the new "Team Airbus" is now available in the larger 1/200 scale and in two versions: either as a highly detailed, fully-assembled model including landing gear, rubber tires, antennas, and many other details, or as an nicely-priced but equally authentic push-fit model as part of the Herpa SnapFit range.
