Brazil’s Azul was the first airline in the Americas to put the latest version of the A330 family into service. “La Belle Azul” was officially delivered at the end of 2020. However, immediately after the official handover, she was parked at Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées Airport in southern France for the next two years, as passenger flights had almost completely come to a standstill during the Covid-19 pandemic. It finally entered service on December 1, 2022, and has since been flying from Brazil to overseas destinations in the U.S., Portugal, and France. Instead of the usual blue titles and blue fuselage, this A330neo is painted bright pink to support the global campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer. This special A330neo is available to Herpa Club members as a limited edition in the herpa online shop.
