Founded in July of 2003, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates commenced operations on the 5th of November of the same year, with a flight from Abu Dhabi to Beirut, using one of the two A330-200s that made up its fleet at the time. "Etihad" means "union" in Arabic, and represents the unity of the seven Emirates that form the UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah). Today, the airline operates more than 1,000 flights per week to over 120 passenger and cargo destinations on five continents. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, a unique line-style art design has been applied to this A321neo aircraft, the sixth of currently 18 A321neos that have joined the airline’s growing fleet since 2024, showcasing famous landmarks across Abu Dhabi. Herpa SnapFit models can be assembled in a few simple steps without glue or other tools.
